Hope you are having winding down a bit during the Holidays from the daily grind, and looking forward to kickoff 2016 with rejuvenated energy!
For some of us, it is also time to get kids in shape academically for the upcoming test season. At the request of many parents, मेधस Academy will be starting some new onsite classes of relevance to children and parents from early January. These will be in addition to the currently ongoing MathGenius Critical Thinking Math, LanguageGenius Writing/ELA and Public Speaking/Debate, and PerfectScore SAT classes that started in August/September 2015.
Please note the below classes will only be offered onsite in Atlanta area. New online classes will only start in the new Academic year, starting in August 2016. Here are the details of the new classes starting from Jan 9th, 2016.
MathBasics: Many parents have specifically requested for help in school Math at grade level, especially from 5th grade – 8th grade. To help children develop a good foundation in school Math and prepare for Georgia Milestones, we will be offering this program for 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades this year. This program will run from January to April (16 sessions). The purpose of these classes will be different from the MathGenius classes. While MathGenius classes are meant for developing Critical Thinking and prepare for Competitive Tests/foundation for SAT (and indirectly help with school Math as well), MathBasics classes are specifically meant for helping with grade level Math at school/ preparing for Georgia Milestones/Common Core standardized tests.
LanguageGenius Writing/ELA: Current LanguageGenius classes are all running full. At the request of many parents, we will be offering additional batches of LanguageGenius Writing/ELA from January 11th (on Monday evenings).
SoftwareGenius Programming: A new batch of SoftwareGenius Java Programming class will be starting in January. This will be for 5th-8th grade children, and will be a 3-month program starting in January.
Schedule of the new classes: All new classes will start from the week of Jan 9th.

Additionally, we may have a limited number of open seats in MathGenius Critical Thinking classes and LanguageGenius Public Speaking/Debate onsite classes.

Note on Common Core Math/Critical Thinking Math Prep Tests: Our assessment team is preparing full steam for conducting the online/onsite prep tests in March 2016, similar to the past years. In addition to the Common Core Math Prep Tests, we will also be conducting Critical Thinking Math Tests this year. Please stay tuned for further updates and registration details.
