Dear Friends,

To engage the kids during the current downtime, Mathus Academy is starting new live, interactive, online classes from mid-April to late July in a number of subjects. As we all grapple with the current crisis, we are doing our part by offering these special sessions of classes at discounted fees.

Once registered, our team will get in touch with you and work with you on specific classes and schedules for your child(ren).

There are limited seats in all courses. A seat can be reserved by paying half the fee via PayPal to support@mathusacademy.com.

MathGenius (MG): MG focuses on building strong Critical Thinking and Problem Solving skills in children. It is designed for children who are already doing well in Math at school. These skills will help in (a) preparing for Math competitions such as Mathcounts, AMC8/10, Math Kangaroo, NSF Math Bee, MathGenius online National competition etc, (b) building a strong foundation for SAT Math, challenging AP courses, Ivy college admissions, and (c) developing a flexible and analytical mindset that helps in acing high paying future careers such as Data science, Artificial intelligence, Neuroscience, Genetics (with heavy Math inputs), Nano-science etc. Parents are advised to note that Critical Thinking is a journey and not a crash course. It takes time to attain a flexible mindset and patience is paramount. Students who stayed with MathGenius for multiple years, even if it is initially challenging, got tremendously benefited. Please visit the ‘Testimonials’ from the top menu for the current/past parents first-hand comments. There are no credible competitive classes available in the marketplace for MG program. This program is offered in 7 levels (MG1 to MG7) and is suitable for students in grades 2 – 9. Levels will be decided based on an assessment/discussion with parents. It is available both online and onsite.

SpellGenius : SpG program is designed for students aspiring to participate and win Spelling bees at School, County, State and National level including Scripps National Spelling Bee and competitions such as NSF Spelling Bee and South Asian Spelling Bee. It is designed and taught by the Scripps National Spelling Bee toppers. Offered at 4 levels – Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Elite.SpG1 (Beginner) is for students who are getting started and those who have participated at school and NSF Regional levels. SpG2 (Intermediate) is for students who have gone up to County or Regional levels. SpG3 (Advanced) is for students who have qualified for and participated in Scripps National Spelling Bee. SpG4 (Elite) is for students who have qualified at Scripps semi-finals (or at least top 100). Please visit www.spellgenius.com and register for free and take two sample tests. It is accompanied by subscription to our tailor-made SpellGenius software for daily practice in Spelling and Vocabulary.

LanguageGenius ELA/Writing :(LG E) LG E program helps students attain mastery in English Language Writing and Reading skills. Along with Math, Communication is a critical skill for success at school, college and career. Writing forms half of the communication skills, the other half being oral communication covered by Public Speaking skills. Students will be trained to attain mastery in a number of age-appropriate writing skills such as narrative writing, expository writing as well as Reading skills. LG W is a highly practice-oriented class with frequent feedback that forms a positive-reinforcement cycle. LG W is offered at 4 levels (A, B, C and D) and is suitable for grades 3 – 9.

LanguageGenius Public Speaking :(LG PS) LG PS forms the other half of the communication skills necessary for success at school, college and career. It also helps children develop leadership skills and build self-confidence. LG PS is offered for grades 3-9 in 3 levels (A, B and C).

DebateGenius : This program helps students prepare for Debate competitions and help develop leadership skills.

PerfectSAT, PSAT and ACT: This program helps high school students (and select 7/8 grade students) help substantially improve scores in SAT, PSAT and ACT. We also provide informal counseling to parents and students in their high school journey and college admission process. All relevant subject areas and topics necessary for SAT and ACT will be covered in depth along with test strategies and test practice.

ScienceGenius: SG program is completely revamped this year. There are 4 Science programs under ScienceGenius:

SG1 & SG2: Regular SG1 and SG2 help build a solid foundation in Science and prepare for Science Bees. Will cover Earth Sciences, Physical Sciences and Life Sciences. Offered at two levels and good for 3rd – 7th grades. Only a select few, curious and interested children will be selected. This is an online-only program and is taught by passionate Science teachers.
SG-B1 & SG-B2: This Biology program is for students who want to (a) pursue a career in Medicine, (b) train towards National Science Bowl or (c) train towards Biology Olympiad. Offered at two levels. Taught by passionate Biology teachers.
SG-N1 & SG-N2: This Neuroscience program will help talented students build a solid foundation for future Neuroscientists. This online-only program is offered at 2 levels. We will select one batch each of highly motivated 7th – 11th grade students at each level. Will be taught by passionate Neuroscience teachers.
SG-BB1 & SG-BB2 This Brain Bee program will help talented students prepare for Brain Bees such as NSF Brain Bee and National Brain Bee. Offered at two levels.

MathCore: (MC) MC helps children attain fluency and solid foundation in grade level Math. It is an excellent stepping stone for the eventual transition to MG classes. Think of MC program as Kumon/Eye-level on steroids. This program is currently available only onsite in Atlanta and helps children ace Georgia Milestones Math tests (the equivalent of Common Core tests in other states). MC is offered at grade levels 3 through 8.

1 on 1Coach: Private coaching for high school students (as well as middle and elementary students) in one-on-one setting in specific subject areas by expert teachers.
